Built on the pool deck
Swim coach software for the deck, not the back office
Write the practice in the shorthand you already use, print it for the wall, run it on a live timer, and finish the season with a record of every swimmer.
Most software sold to swim teams is really club administration: dues, registrations, meet entries. Useful, and someone has to do it, but it is not coaching. MySwimSet does the coaching half and leaves the rest alone.
$19/month for one coach. Free right now, no credit card, no demo call.
What it actually does, in the order you do it
Write the practice fast
Type sets the way you say them on deck. "8x100 free @ 1:30 descend" parses into reps, distance, stroke, interval, and zone as you type. Dictation works too, so "10 by 200 back on three minutes" lands correctly. Distance, rest, and send-offs total themselves while you write.
Get it onto the wall
Every practice prints as a clean, high-contrast card built to laminate and post, legible from across the deck. The same practice opens in Run Mode: a full-screen deck timer with the active set, send-off clock, and rep counter, in your hand during practice.
Know who was actually there
Add your swimmers, sort them into training groups, and tap Present, Absent, or Excused on a phone in a few seconds. Attendance is what turns a stack of practices into a season record, and it is the metric with the best evidence behind it.
Answer the parent question
Every swimmer gets a report: volume, training-zone balance, attendance rate, practices missed, goal times, and time-standard progress. Share it as a read-only link or email it. When a parent asks how their swimmer is doing, you have an answer instead of an anecdote.
See the season, not just today
Volume, intensity distribution, and how fast training load is ramping, across the whole season, built from the practices you already wrote. Log a time and it checks automatically against official USA Swimming, NCAA, and YMCA standards.
What it deliberately does not do
If you need any of these, MySwimSet is the wrong tool or only half the answer, and it is cheaper to learn that here than after you have moved your season into it.
- Club billing, dues, or registrations
- Meet entries, psych sheets, or meet management
- Team website hosting
- A swimmer-facing training app
- Automatic import from another platform
Plenty of programs run a club platform for the office and MySwimSet for the coaching. That is a normal setup, not a compromise.

What is swim coach software?
In practice the term covers three different jobs that often get confused. Club management platforms handle billing, registration, and meet entries for an organization. Meet management software seeds and scores meets. Coaching software is what you use to plan practices, run them on deck, and track how swimmers develop across a season. MySwimSet is the third kind: it is built for the coaching job, and it deliberately does not do club back-office or meet management.
How much does swim coach software cost?
MySwimSet is $19/month ($149/year) for one coach and $49/month ($399/year) for a staff of up to five, with no per-swimmer fee. It is completely free right now, with no credit card, and coaches who join during the free period keep those founding rates when billing starts. For context, the closest coaching-focused competitor starts at $39/month, and club management platforms are usually quoted per athlete.
Do I have to sit through a demo to try it?
No. You can create an account and write your first practice in about a minute. There is no sales call, no credit card, and no trial countdown during the free period. You can also use four of our tools with no account at all: the time-standards lookup, pace and CSS calculator, course converter, and points calculator.
Does it work on a phone on the pool deck?
Yes, and that is the primary design constraint rather than an afterthought. Attendance, Run Mode, and practice editing are all built for a phone in one hand on a wet deck. Printing is built for a laminated card on the wall.
Can I import my existing workouts?
Not automatically, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no importer today. In practice most coaches start with the current week rather than migrating history, because the parser accepts the same shorthand they already write. An import path is on the roadmap because it is the most common request we get.
Who is it built for?
Coaches running a program: club, high school, college, YMCA age-group, and masters. It assumes you know what you are doing and want the admin out of the way. It is not a workout generator for individual swimmers, and it does not write practices for you.
