Why are there two Futures standards?
USA Swimming publishes separate 2027 Futures cuts for swimmers 18 and under and for swimmers 19 and over. A swimmer uses the tier for their age on the first day of the meet.
How do Futures cuts relate to Junior Nationals cuts?
For 2027 the Futures 18 and under standards are identical to the Junior Nationals Bonus standards, and the Futures 19 and over standards are identical to the Junior Nationals Standard times.
